.

Se trata de Gayowar («proud to be loud… AND gay»).

Dicho-he.

.

KIRK TO PERFORM WITH FLUX
9/19/2005

A very unique and special event was held last night at the Herbst Theatre, in San Francisco, CA. Kirk, on his electric guitar, performed with FLUX, a string quartet, with Saul Gropman on his classic guitar. The melding of Flux’s experimental, innovative and aleatoric composition along with Kirk’s improvisational skills on the electric guitar made this performance a unique and memorable one.

Metallica In Springfield
9/20/2005

The guys were in the studio today to record their voices for an upcoming episode of The Simpsons!

The show will air sometime in May 06, so you have plenty of time to set those recorders. When we have more info, we will be sure to let you know. In the meantime, check out the pics of the guys saying their lines!

THOR Struck By Lightning! – Sep. 19, 2005

After conquering over 40 cities and towns in as many days, THOR «The Mighty Rock Warrior» was struck down by an unimaginably powerful bolt of lightning!

This unthinkable event took place in Portland where he was performing for dazzled audiences. As he placed the steel bar to his lips in order to bend it in half with his muscular arms, lightning split the sky and struck him down. He managed to finish the show, but immediately afterwards was rushed into the care of Venus (nurse to the Gods). Due to these unforseen circumstances THOR was forced to cancel the remaining dates on the tour. He is quite fully recovered now and plans to tour again this winter. Look for dates soon.

THOR is continuing to promote his new album, entitled «Thor against the World», and retrospective DVD, entitled «An-THOR-logy», available on Smog Veil Records.

I give you

THOR (The Legendary Rock Warrior)

Throwing Cars At People (On Coke with THOR)
(written by Seth of Anal Cunt)

seth- thor’s coming to town, we’re ready to rock

thor- how much coke do we have in stock?

seth- i’ve got a pound of coke and thor does too

thor- we’re gonna throw every car in town at you, cuz we’re

chorus

thor- throwing cars at people

seth- throwing cars at people

thor- throwing cars at people

back up vocals- on coke with thor

(chorus 4x)

seth- the cops can’t stop us from throwing cars

thor- we’re not afraid of jail, i’ll just bend the bars

seth- we’ve both got noses and needles and pipes

thor- we’ve been up for 7 straight days and nights, just

chorus

seth- the coke’s all gone, guess it’s time to go

thor- plus we’ve run out of cars to throw

seth- we’ll both be back in a day or 2

thor- throwing a bunch of cars at you, cuz we’re

chorus

back up vocals- on coke with thor

thor- on coke with me (x4)

James Lomenzo who has been supplying the bass for the last couple of years is no longer playing with Black Label Society.

John «JD» DeServio will be playing bass on the Black Label Society «MAFIA» post-Ozzfest tour. Most of you will remember J.D. from the early BLS days, and we’re excited to have him back rockin the low end once again.

Zakk has always said that the bass position is like «Mount Bassmore» and Zakk enjoys playing with many different bassists.

The decision to part ways with James Lomenzo was a mutual one between James and Zakk.

The new guitar player!

Arch Enemy have now settled on Fredrik Akesson as a replacement for Chris Amott (guitar) for the continued ?Doomsday Machine? touring campaign…

Michael Amott comments:
?This guy, he just simply kills on the axe!
Rhythms and Leads ? he?s really got a shredding and musical style. He was down here rehearsing with us last week and we had a great time playing music and hanging out. We are eagerly looking forward to hitting the road again, this time with Fredrik on board the good ship Arch Enemy.?

Fredrik Akesson, born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden first picked up the guitar at the age of 12, discovered Michael Schenker at the age of 14 and has been hooked on the ?shred? ever since! Other early influences include Uli Jon Roth, Yngwie Malmsteen and George Lynch.

Over the years Fredrik has lent his awesome guitar talent to such varied artists such as Talisman, John Norum, Krux, Tiamat and his own (now defunct) group, Southpaw.

Fredrik Akesson comments on joining forces with Arch Enemy:

?Hi all ARCH ENEMY fans!
I was really thrilled when Michael Amott called me up and gave me the opportunity to play with Arch Enemy. I am excited about going on tour with them, and to meet you all.
C-Ya out there ? it?s time to burn! /Fredrik?

Arch Enemy start their European tour in Paris @ the Bataclan on the 2nd of October?
