The Zimmers are a British band, and thought to have the oldest members in the world: the lead singer, Alf, is 90, and the oldest member, Buster, is 100. They take their name from the Zimmer frame (the British name for a walking frame).

The band was created as a feature in a BBC TV documentary, which was first broadcast on 28 May 2007 to give a voice to the feelings of isolation and imprisonment suffered by the elderly, in which the band recorded a single.

The Zimmers have released one single, a cover of The Who’s «My Generation» (#26 UK), on 28 May 2007. The song is produced by Mike Hedges, the video shot by Geoff Wonfor, and it was recorded in the legendary Beatles Studio 2 at Abbey Road.

Around 40 people appear on the My generation track and video, with a total age of around 3,000 years.

Sacado de la Wikipedia, of course.

ACTUALIZACIÓN: Se me olvidaba poner el video del single [03m40s].
